-
- Students will share feedback concerning their web site designs to cross-pollinate ideas and skills
- 11:50-12:00: Start of Class
- Warm-Up:
- Download this file and extract its contents into your Downloads folder.
- This is a collection of all websites handed in last week, organized with a site directory.
- This will only work if the contents are extracted. You cannot view the web pages correctly inside the zip file.
- Download this file and extract its contents into your Downloads folder.
- Warm-Ups are usually a 5 point Independent Work grade if a written response is expected, a 5 point Assessment grade if the Warm-Up is a quiz, or part of a 10 point Notebook Check if they include new vocabulary/code to enter into student notes. They are due at the start of class and not eligible for late submission or re-submission.
- Warm-Up:
- 12:00-12:55: Instruction & Student Work
- Lesson 21: Peer Review
- You will need two things for this assignment:
- This is a three day Assessment grade. You are expected to critique EVERY website handed in to earn 100%.
- Begin by critiquing YOUR OWN work.
- Once your work is critiqued, critique the work of the next person on the list after your name.
- (You're all listed alphabetically. Stick to that order.)
- If you reach the end of the list before you have completed all of the critiques, loop around to the start of the list and continue.
- Rubric:
-
- Meaningful Positive Feedback: 1 pt per critique.
- ("Good job!" is generic, not meaningful.)
- Actionable Constructive Feedback: 1 pt per critique.
- ("Fix your code" provides no advice for how to do that.)
- ("This is boring" is negative, not constructive feedback.)
- It is clear the person giving the critique actually looked at the website: 1 pt per critique.
- Meaningful Positive Feedback: 1 pt per critique.

- If it's the last A Day of the week, submit the week's Classwork as an Exit Ticket.
- Properly shut down your assigned computer and line up, prepared to go to lunch.
- Exit Tickets are always 10 point Classwork grades and not eligible for late submission. Exit Tickets handed in on time are eligible for re-submission within 10 calendar days of feedback, with old and new grades averaged. (It is always better to hand in as much as possible on time, even if not complete.) Exit Tickets are due during the last 10 minutes of the last class of the week.
