  1. Objective:
    1. Students will improve their websites to further integrate the code they've learned so far.
  2. 11:50-12:00: Start of Class
    1. Warm-Up:
      1. Begin by taking this quiz on proofreading code from lessons 1-9.
        1. You can edit answers, so check and see if you get any wrong!
        2. Remember that ALL of my quizzes are open notes!
        3. This will be a 5 point Assessment in Synergy.
      2. There is no new code or vocabulary for your notes today.
    2. Warm-Ups are usually a 5 point Independent Work grade if a written response is expected, a 5 point Assessment grade if the Warm-Up is a quiz, or part of a 10 point Notebook Check if they include new vocabulary/code to enter into student notes. They are due at the start of class and not eligible for late submission or re-submission.

    1. Lesson 10: Mini-Project: Adding Style to a Web Page
      1. This worksheet will serve as a planning document.
        1. It exists to make the work easier, but THE WORKSHEET IS NOT THE WORK! THE CODE IS THE WORK! Plan accordingly.
      2. Grading Rubric 4 pts each):
        • Using HTML
          • They use HTML to correctly add all given images to the web page, including adding the “alt” attribute for all images.
        • Using CSS
          • They use CSS to control the basic appearance of the five (5) different elements on the page.
        • Clean Code
          • They use white space and indentation to make the stylesheet code consistently well-formatted and easier to read.
        • Precision and Syntax
          • There are no syntax errors in the added HTML code or the CSS code, and the page renders correctly.
        • Respect Copyright
          • All images have been used with permission, cited, and credit is given to the creators.

  • 12:55-1:05: End of Class
    1. Save all work and back it up in Google Drive, as "I couldn't access my project" will not be seen as a valid excuse.
    2. If it's the last A Day of the week, submit the week's Classwork as an Exit Ticket.
    3. Properly shut down your assigned computer and line up, prepared to go to lunch.
    4. Exit Tickets are always 10 point Classwork grades and not eligible for late submission. Exit Tickets handed in on time are eligible for re-submission within 10 calendar days of feedback, with old and new grades averaged. (It is always better to hand in as much as possible on time, even if not complete.) Exit Tickets are due during the last 10 minutes of the last class of the week.
