- Objective:
- Students will make a recording to use in their first multi-day project of the course to review good digital citizenship practices.
- Warm-Up: 2026-04-28: Ask Mr. Smith
- Directions: Use the "Reply" button in Canvas to ask Mr. Smith a question.
- You should NOT already know the answer. (If we've covered it several times this year, you should know it.)
- It should NOT be a question that can easily be answered by doing a Google Search.
- It SHOULD be a question that relates to digital media arts (the type of art, not specifically the major).
- It should NOT be about Mr. Smith.
- Warm-Ups are usually a 5 point Independent Work grade if a written response is expected, or a 5 point Assessment grade if the Warm-Up is a quiz. They are due at the start of class and not eligible for late submission or re-submission.

- Everyone will be making a review of Interland, a game made by Google to promote positive digital citizenship.
- Interland is not particularly good at every aspect of digital citizenship. YOUR job will be to evaluate what it does well and how it could do better.
- You will be assigned ONE (1) of the four (4) Interland levels to review.

- Row 2 (Seats 10-15): Reality River
- Row 3 (Seats 16-24): Mindful Mountain
- Row 4 (Seats 25-30): Tower of Treasure
- Ignore the other levels for now, today you should focus on recording yourself playing the game and taking notes.
- Rubric (This is for the final project that's due next week, you aren't expected to complete all of this today) (See the rubric at the bottom of this page for today's Exit Ticket.):
- 25% Critique is provided in a format that incorporates audio.
- 25% Project is 2-5 minutes total run time (TRT).
- 25% Critique covers what your level meant to teach, and whether these skills were taught in a meaningful, memorable way, and what else could be done to better teach those skills.
- 25% Citations for all content not owned by the student are included in the credits, including the media name, creator's name (if known), and where the media or information is from.

- Even numbered Exit Ticket Rubrics will vary, and are included with the project information.
- NOTE: Links that do not show any content and files that cannot be opened do not count towards the completion of this assignment. Sharing the work with the rest of the class is ESSENTIAL for getting a grade above a zero.
- Feedback from the critiques is provided in the Canvas assignment for that project.
- Projects are eligible for re-submission, but only once. They must be resubmitted using the same form as before, and no later than 10 days after feedback has been shared with them in Canvas. The last project of each Quarter is not eligible for re-submission due to its proximity to the end of the Quarter!
- Deadlines for future projects are not adjusted. Students are encouraged to not put off starting Project 4 because they've decided to work on redoing Project 3 from scratch.
