Today's to-do list includes the following items:

  1. Warm-Up:
    1. Grade 6 (P4B)
    2. Grades 7&8 (P3B)
    3. (Today's Warm-Up is a quiz. If you do not earn a 5/5, review your answers before making another attempt. You will be able to make 3 attempts before being locked out.)
  2. Monthly Incentives
    1. Arts Department Incentive:
      1. Art Bucks are handed out to acknowledge good choices.
    2. Monthly Media Arts Incentive:
      1. 30 minute "Arcade Day" at the end of the month.
        1. February's Arcade Day is scheduled for 02/28/2023.
      2. Remain eligible unless a Notice of Concern has been earned.
        1. Check SchoolMax - if your avg is 70% or above, you're probably eligible.
  3. Q3 Project 1
    1. Due Friday, February 3rd!
      1. Grade 6 (P4B)
      2. Grades 7&8 (P3B)
    2. Your 1st project can be any of the following CORE projects:
        1. Digital Citizenship 1: Netiquette
        2. Digital Citizenship 2: Fact Checking
        3. Copyright and Creative Commons
        4. Digital Citizenship 4: Interland Review
  4. You will hand in 3 more projects this Quarter, but ONLY the first project needs to be from the CORE category.
    1. YOUR JOB TODAY:
      1. Your planning should be done at this time.
      2. Continue recording/editing your chosen project from last class (if needed), but recording should be wrapped up today at the latest!
      3. When you are happy with your edits, export the video you will be handing in on Friday!
        1. I recorded this tutorial on how to export from WeVideo in 2021.
          1. (An older video means you don't have to listen to how bad my voice is today, so that's a win.)
          2. The main change is there are now 3 options for export size. Pick the middle one for this class and it will export faster with no noticeable loss of quality.
      4. Be prepared to share your progress in the Exit Ticket!
    2. IF YOUR PROJECT ISN'T ON THE LIST, YOU ARE WORKING TOWARDS A ZERO!
  5. Other News
    1. All information that doesn't need a login for privacy reasons is now on https://fouloistech.info/ so parents can see expectations and project rubrics. Bookmarking this site will be useful.
    2. Please share any typos/errors with Mr. Smith so he can properly fix them.
  6. Exit Ticket
    1. Grade 6 (P4B)
    2. Grades 7&8 (P3B)
    3. Please do not write generic answers like "Today I worked on my project and I learned some new vocabulary." If you can't convince me you learned and did something new, you won't earn the points.
