Today's to-do list includes the following items:

  1. Announcements:
    1. It is still your responsibility to use IDM to reset your password.
  2. Warm-Up: 
    1. Complete today's Warm-Up in Canvas.
    2. Journal Prompt: Go on Code Studio for Unit 1 Lesson 6 to try out the birthday app. It has three possible outputs. Try to find each one.
      1. What is the input to the app?
      2. What is the output?
      3. How do you think the app decides which output to give back to the user?
    3. Warm-Ups are usually a 4-5 point Independent Work grade if a written response is expected, or a 5 point Assessment grade if the Warm-Up is a quiz. They are due at the start of class and not eligible for late submission or resubmission.

    1. Lesson 6: Processing
      1. You will need to see the apps included in Unit 2 Lesson 6 in Clever.
      2. You will also need a copy of this worksheet. Don't forget to hand in your share link in Canvas!
      3. Apps and Processing
        1. The worksheet will ask you to determine how each of the apps shown in Unit 1 Lesson 6 is processing information.
        2. The answer has already been provided for the first app, as an example for how to complete the rest.
      4. More Processing
        1. The last 3 apps shown in Unit 1 Lesson 6 process information in more than one way
        2. You are being asked to write out two different ways the app is processing information.
    2. Lesson 7: Storage
      1. Begin with a copy of this document.
      2. You will also need to log into Code.org through Clever.
      3. Don't forget to hand in your share link or you won't earn credit!
      4. Sample Apps
        1. The worksheet will ask you to try out each of the apps shown in Unit 1 Lesson 7 and determine what information they need to store.
        2. As with most times a teacher asks you to explain why, it is important for your grade that you convincingly explain why that information should or should not be stored.
