Media Arts Majors, 05-07-2026 – Q4 Week 3

No video for today, as we are continuing from what was discussed on the 1st day of Q4.

Objective:
1. Students will complete revisions of their "client work" for the historians of Darnall's Chance.
Warm-Up: 2026-05-07: Darnall's Chance Checklist
1. Check what you have for your project so far.

      1. Is it the required TRT? (60, 30, or 15 seconds)

      1. Do you mention the Pastport to History?
      2. Do you include one of the logos Parks & Planning provided?

      1. Does it include a separate thumbnail image? (png or jpg file)
      2. Are your captions included? DID YOU SPELL EVERYTHING CORRECTLY?!
      3. Have you addressed any other concerns the historians shared?

      1. Are all of your video assets in the same folder on your computer? (As of Friday of last week for many of you this still had not been fixed!)
  2. If you do not have a video, a thumbnail image, and your project files compressed into a .zip, you will not be able to hand in your project.
2. Based on the list above, what are your tasks for today? IF YOUR ANSWER IS IDENTICAL TO YESTERDAY'S, YOU DID NOTHING FOR TWO HOURS!
3. Warm-Ups are usually a 5 point Independent Work grade if a written response is expected, or a 5 point Assessment grade if the Warm-Up is a quiz. They are due at the start of class and not eligible for late submission or re-submission.

    1. Due to dedicating an entire week to fixing your Darnall's Chance projects, we have limited time to complete a "full" student choice assignment. Still, 3 unmodified days should be enough time to complete a project.

5. 06/18, Q4MP1: Light Painting, Due 06/18
  1. This 1-Day project is not eligible for late submission or re-submission without a Lawful Absence on file in the main office.
6. Projects are 100 point Classwork grades, and are not eligible for late submission.
7. Feedback from the critiques is provided in the Canvas assignment for that project.
8. Projects are eligible for re-submission, but only once. They must be resubmitted using the same form as before, and no later than 10 days after feedback has been shared with them in Canvas. The 4th project of each Quarter is not eligible for re-submission due to its proximity to the end of the Quarter!
9. Deadlines for future projects are not adjusted. Students are encouraged to not put off starting Project 4 because they've decided to work on redoing Project 3 from scratch.

Odd Numbered Exit Ticket Rubric:

4 pts	Student has shared their plan for their current project.
3 pts	It is clear which project has been selected.
3 pts	It is clear that the student is following the rubric for their chosen project, even if they have not yet met all of the criteria.

  2. NOTE: Links that do not show any content and files that cannot be opened do not count towards the completion of this assignment. Sharing the work with the rest of the class is ESSENTIAL for getting a grade above a zero.
  3. Feedback from the critiques is provided in the Canvas assignment for that project.
1. Projects are eligible for re-submission, but only once. They must be re-submitted via Canvas, and no later than 10 days after feedback has been shared with them in Canvas. The last project of each Quarter is not eligible for re-submission due to its proximity to the end of the Quarter!
2. Deadlines for future projects are not adjusted. Students are encouraged to not put off starting Project 4 because they've decided to work on redoing Project 3 from scratch.
