THIS VIDEO EXPLAINS THE EXPECTATIONS FOR THE DAY! (This is the same video from our last typing lesson, but the core objectives remain the same.)

  1. Objective:
    1. Locate the home row on the keyboard.
    2. Type selected keys with a minimum number of errors.
  2. Announcements:
    1. The last day for any late work for Q3 WAS Friday, March 13th!
      1. PGCPS policy for Lawful Absences will be followed. All other work is now due the day it is assigned.
    2. The last day for any late work for Q4 is Thursday, June 4th!
      1. This provides 2 weeks at the end of the Quarter for Mr. Smith to grade late work.

    1. Tux Typing Lesson 1Today's lesson has us typing again, but using a program Mr. Smith has installed on his computers.
    2. Students who are absent today should log in with Clever and go to Typing.com to complete the Beginner Review 1 lesson. Mr. Smith will be able to verify progress online.
    3. Grading Rubric:
      5 Pts Student focused on completing the assigned typing lesson.
      4 Pts Student logged into the computer with minimal assistance.
      3 Pts Student was able to log into the computer with some assistance from Mr. Smith.

    4. This is an IN-CLASS assignment, NOT HOMEWORK. There are no extended deadlines for this Quarter!
