Hello BDF Family. In today's class, we will be going over the class norms and expectations along with the syllabus first. Then, afterwards we will start our first lesson introducing the class to a web programming language called HTML. My goal is to get students to understand the basics of this language as there are layers of complexity to it that we will tackle in the later days of the course, hence our exit ticket will simply be asking them something new that they learned while completing our first in class activity. We will be using code.org's web lab to create webpages for the duration of this course. This is technically a high school course, so students will be warned that they may have to take this class again if they don't pass this year depending on the high school they are going to. I am highly going to encourage them all to take good notes as we pace ourselves through essentially learning a new language.
