- Objective:
- Students will edit and hand in their last project of the Quarter to take ownership of their own learning.
- 2025-10-20: Warm-Up: Title And Credits
- Explain the importance of including a title and credits in your video. This is not a task that should require you to look anything up on the internet if you have been a major for at least 7 weeks.
- Warm-Ups are usually a 5 point Independent Work grade if a written response is expected, or a 5 point Assessment grade if the Warm-Up is a quiz. They are due at the start of class and not eligible for late submission or re-submission.
- Announcements:
- October's Arcade Day are scheduled for
10/3010/28.- The day has been changed because of an Arts Team event scheduled for the 30th.
- You will need to have a 70% OR HIGHER in this class to be eligible.
- This does not change any deadlines.
- This will also be a T-Shirt Printing Day.
- Create & Collaborate Conference
- November 19th
- Media Arts can take 20 students - that's 10 per class, just under 50%!
- The names have already been selected, THIS CLASS is taking at least 3 per grade level.
- You will be given a T-Shirt before the event. MAKE SURE you wear it on the day of the trip!

Micro-MovieIn 60 seconds, or less, create a video that tells a story.Focus: Short storytelling with impact and conciseness.
- Narrative Film
- In 5 minutes or less, create a dramatic work.
- Focus: Storytelling, character development, and engagement.
- Documentary
- In 5 minutes or less.
- Focus: Presentation of real-world issues or subjects.
- Animation
- In 5 minutes or less, create an original animation. This entry must have the required elements of a story. The animation may be presented in hand drawn, 3D animation, stop-motion, claymation, or paper cut-out. Be creative!
- Focus: Animation techniques and creativity.
- Social Impact Film
- In 5 minutes or less, create a video that addresses a social issue.
- Focus: Addressing social issues, activism, or cultural commentary.

- Projects are 100 point Classwork grades, and are not eligible for late submission.
- Feedback from the critiques is provided in the Canvas assignment for that project.
- Projects are eligible for re-submission, but only once. They must be resubmitted using the same form as before, and no later than 10 days after feedback has been shared with them in Canvas. The 4th project of each Quarter is not eligible for re-submission due to its proximity to the end of the Quarter!
- Deadlines for future projects are not adjusted. Students are encouraged to not put off starting Project 4 because they've decided to work on redoing Project 3 from scratch.
