  1. Warm-Up: 
    1. 3rd time's the charm for this SGM Test?
    2. Warm-Ups are usually a 5 point Independent Work grade if a written response is expected, or a 5 point Assessment grade if the Warm-Up is a quiz. They are due at the start of class and not eligible for late submission or resubmission.
  2. Monthly Incentives
    1. Monthly Media Arts Incentive:
      1. "Arcade Day" at the end of the month.
        1. December's Arcade Day is scheduled for 12/22/2023.
      2. Students remain eligible unless a Notice of Concern has been earned that month for grades or behavior, though a student who missed out from low grades can earn back their Arcade Day privileges if they bring their grade back up.
        1. Check SchoolMax - if your avg is 70% or above, you're probably eligible.
    2. Arts Department Incentive:
      1. Semester based this year.
      2. 1st Semester: Earn a total of 25 ClassDojo points in your Creative Arts Mods.
      3. Students can still uninvite themselves with behavior unbecoming of a Media Arts major.
  3. School Performances
    1. Media Arts volunteers are needed to help record and/or run the projectors for December Winter Concerts.
      1. December 20th: Middle School Arts Showcase. (Daytime event)
        1. WEAR ALL BLACK!
        2. Whole school event, 1 hour show.
        3. Performers report at 9:15, show starts at 10:00.
  4. Q2 Project 2
    1. Resubmit Due 12-22

      1. 12-14: Post-Production
      2. 12-18: Post-Production
      3. 12-19: (All Majors Day) Post-Production
      4. 12-20: (MS Arts Showcase) Post-Production
      5. 12-22: (Arcade Day) Post-Production
      6. 01-04: Critique Day
      7. Festival Entry 3: Post-Production
      8. "I'm working on it at home" is not an allowed reason to be off task in class.
        1. We've gone over activities to do in class. If you decided to move all activities to home, then more work can be assigned to you in order to prevent off-task behavior.
  6. Q2 Project 4
    1. Due 01-12
  7. Projects are 100 point Classwork grades, and are not eligible for late submission.
  8. Feedback from the critiques is provided in the Canvas assignment for that project.
  9. Projects are eligible for resubmission, but only once. They must be resubmitted using the same form as before, and no later than 10 days after feedback has been shared with them in Canvas.
    1. Film Fest Addendum: Because Entry 1 is needed to complete Entry 2, and Entry 2 is needed to complete Entry 3, it is HIGHLY RECOMMENDED that you QUICKLY make any suggested revisions and hand them in before starting the next project. To do otherwise will waste your time, lower your grades, and, worst of all, lower the quality of your final project.
  10. Deadlines for future projects are not adjusted. Students are encouraged to not put off starting Project 2 because they've decided to work on redoing Project 3 from scratch.

    2. NOTE: If you do not describe WHAT you did while working on your project, saying you worked on it is not enough information to earn credit.
  2. Exit Tickets are always 10 point Classwork grades and not eligible for late submission or resubmission. They are due during the last 10 minutes of class.
