Today's to-do list includes the following items:
THIS VIDEO EXPLAINS TODAY'S EXPECTATIONS!

    1. Announcements:
      1. Lesson 9 (2nd attempt due 10/12), Lesson 11 (2nd attempt due 10/16), and Lesson 13 (2nd attempt due 10/19) await your 2nd attempts.
        1. You MUST resubmit the assignment in Canvas for me to know you're ready for me to check it.
        2. I WILL NOT CHECK THIS ASSIGNMENT AGAIN UNLESS YOU TELL ME THERE THAT YOU'RE READY BY RESUBMITTING THE ASSIGNMENT IN CANVAS! You get one attempt to fix your 1st try. Make it count.
        3. NO late work will be accepted after October 19th (2 weeks before the end of the Quarter.) To allow late work later than that would not give me time to grade it.
  1. Warm-Up:
    1. Complete this quiz in Canvas.
    2. Warm-Ups are usually a 4-5 point Independent Work grade if a written response is expected, or a 5 point Assessment grade if the Warm-Up is a quiz. They are due at the start of class and not eligible for late submission or resubmission.
  2. Vocabulary
    1. No new vocabulary.
  3. Introduced Code
    • No new code.
  4. Class Activities:
    1. Lesson 14: Websites for a Purpose
      1. Make a copy of this worksheet.
        1. Put your name at the top of the worksheet where indicated (Do this right now!)
        2. Make sure to set the permissions so Mr. Smith can see it.
        3. Hand in the share link in the text box in Canvas. (Again, do this right now!)
      2. Visit Code.org (Remember to log in through Clever!)
        1. Lesson 14 is a single bubble that contains 4 websites.
        2. Select 2 of them and answer the questions on your worksheet.
          1. (Note that fouloistech.info is there as an example for the kind of answers that are expected.)
        3. NOTE: While you are allowed to work with a partner, EACH STUDENT is expected to hand in their OWN worksheet with their OWN name at the top!
        4. Think carefully about the Reflect portion at the bottom of the worksheet. This is brainstorming for your final project in this class.
      3. Remember that we don't have the time for "busy-work." This is a lesson that Mr. Smith decided was important enough to focus on, so it's important enough to be graded.
      4. If you manage to finish early, revisit one of the coding lessons in the announcements and make sure you've earned a perfect score.
