    1. Students will plan their work for their first project of 3rd Quarter.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<\/li>\n
    2. Warm-Up: 2026-01-27: Darnall's Chance Trip Prep<\/strong><\/a>\n
        \n
      1. Team Leads<\/strong>: Give me your 1st & 2nd choice for who you trust to go on the trip and record all of your team's shots. (You can also do the next part, but if you don't give me names, I'm picking them myself.)<\/li>\n
      2. Everyone Else<\/strong>: Give me a question to pass on to the historians.<\/li>\n
      3. Warm-Ups are usually a 5 point Independent Work grade if a written response is expected, or a 5 point Assessment grade if the Warm-Up is a quiz. They are due at the start of class and not eligible for late submission or re-submission.<\/em><\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<\/li>\n
      4. Announcements<\/strong>:<\/strong>\n

        1. February's Arcade Day is scheduled for Friday, February 27th.<\/strong><\/span>\n

          1. You will need to have a 70% OR HIGHER in this class to be eligible.<\/li>\n
          2. This does not change any deadlines.<\/li>\n
          3. This will also be a T-Shirt Printing Day.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<\/li>\n
          4. NPR Student Podcast Challenge for 2026<\/strong><\/a>\n

            1. The 2026 edition of the Student Podcast Challenge will open on Jan. 5<\/span> and close on June 5<\/span>. But if you'd like to be considered for their special America 250 prize, the deadline is May 1<\/span>.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<\/li>\n

              2. February\u2019s theme focuses on\u00a0emotion and expression\u00a0in portrait photography. A strong portrait goes beyond showing what someone looks like\u2014it reveals how they\u00a0feel<\/em>. This month, students are challenged to capture mood, personality, and emotion through facial expression, body language, lighting, and composition. Portrait subjects can include friends, family members, self-portraits, or even staged portraits that tell an emotional story.<\/li>\n
