This space will be used to provide announcements, lessons, and other resources.<\/p>\n<ol>\n<li><strong>Objective:<\/strong>\n<ol>\n<li>Students will be able to:\n<ul>\n<li>Break down a long sequence of instructions into the smallest repeatable sequence possible.<\/li>\n<li>Examine a program with loops and debug to solve the puzzle.<\/li>\n<li>Identify the benefits of using a loop structure instead of manual repetition.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<\/li>\n<li><strong>Announcements:<\/strong>\n<ol>\n<li><span style=\"color: #ff0000;\"><strong>No late work for this Quarter will be accepted after Monday, January 12th!<\/strong><\/span>\n<ol>\n<li>This deadline is 2 weeks before the end of the Quarter and is far more lenient than PGCPS policy.<\/li>\n<li>Work owed from <span style=\"color: #ff0000;\">unexcused absences<\/span> will still not be accepted.<\/li>\n<li>Between January 12th and the last day of the Quarter, PGCPS policy will be followed.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<\/li>\n<li><strong>Vocabulary<\/strong>:\n<ol>\n<li><span style=\"color: #0000ff;\"><strong>Algorithm<\/strong><\/span> - A list of steps to finish a task.<\/li>\n<li><strong>Bug<\/strong> - Part of a program that does not work correctly.<\/li>\n<li><span style=\"color: #0000ff;\"><strong>Debugging<\/strong><\/span> - Finding and fixing problems in an algorithm or program.<\/li>\n<li><strong>Click<\/strong> - Press the mouse button<\/li>\n<li><strong>Double-Click<\/strong> - Press the mouse button very quickly<\/li>\n<li><strong>Drag<\/strong> - Click your mouse button and hold as you move the mouse pointer to a new location<\/li>\n<li><strong>Drop<\/strong> - Release your mouse button to \"let go\" of an item that you are dragging<\/li>\n<li><span style=\"color: #0000ff;\"><strong>Loop<\/strong><\/span> - The action of doing something over and over again.<\/li>\n<li><strong>Program<\/strong> - An algorithm that has been coded into something that can be run by a machine.<\/li>\n<li><strong>Programming<\/strong> - The art of creating a program.<\/li>\n<li><span style=\"color: #0000ff;\"><strong>Repeat<\/strong><\/span> -
