They are due at the start of class and not eligible for late submission or re-submission.<\/em><\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<\/li>\n<li><strong>Announcements<\/strong><strong>:<\/strong>\n<ol>\n<li><span style=\"color: #ff0000;\"><strong>November's Arcade Day is scheduled for<\/strong> <strong>Monday, November 24th.<\/strong><\/span>\n<ol>\n<li>You will need to have a 70% OR HIGHER in this class to be eligible.<\/li>\n<li>This does not change any deadlines.<\/li>\n<li>This will also be a T-Shirt Printing Day.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<\/li>\n<li><strong>Create &amp; Collaborate Conference<\/strong>\n<ol>\n<li>November 19th<\/li>\n<li>The names have already been selected, THIS CLASS is taking at least 3 per grade level.<\/li>\n<li>You will be given a T-Shirt before the event. MAKE SURE you wear it on the day of the trip!<\/li>\n<li><span style=\"color: #ff0000;\">YOU WILL NEED TO BRING YOUR OWN LUNCH!<\/span> (Last year lunches were provided but the budget is different this year.)<\/li>\n<li><span style=\"color: #ff0000;\">Students need to be prepared to be recorded about an issue that matters to students right now.<\/span> Here are some prompts to help them figure out what they want to say:\n<ul>\n<li>What\u2019s an issue that matters to students right now?<\/li>\n<li>How do students experience this issue in real life?<\/li>\n<li>What do you think adults misunderstand about this issue?<\/li>\n<li>What actions or solutions could students take to make a difference?<\/li>\n<li>How has social media or technology influenced this issue?<br \/>\nWho are some role models or changemakers connected to this topic?<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<\/li>\n<li><strong>Darnall's Chance House Museum<\/strong>\n<ol>\n<li>The Historians will be visiting us on<span style=\"color: #ff0000;\"> January 6th<\/span>.\n<ol>\n<li>You will be working on this project as a group. (Mr. Smith is picking the groups.)<\/li>\n<li>Each group will be producing 3 videos, each with its own separate thumbnail image:\n<ol>\n<li>60 second video<\/li>\n<li>30 second video<\/li>\n<li>15 second video<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<\/li>\n<li>Target Audience:\u00a0PG County Students &amp; Residents (of all ages).<\/li>\n<li>Focus: Darnall\u2019s Chance &amp; the Community Engagement &amp; Visitation in regards to the 250th Anniversary of the American Revolution.\n<ol>\n<li>Sub-Foci:\n<ol>\n<li>Freedom Suits<\/li>\n<li>Signing of Declaration of Independence (Darnall's Chance was decades old at that point.)<\/li>\n<li>Where do you see your place in community?<\/li>\n<li>What does it mean to be an American?<\/li>\n<li>How do you see yourself in stories of the colonial period (Shared Experience)<\/li>\n<li>\u201cPast Port\u201d to History, visit all sites to win a trip to a Historic Trust location.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<\/li>\n<li><a href=\"https:\/\/docs.google.com\/presentation\/d\/1Ho4r8clxs0r-rxHUcYCbmSpfOZAjkEvmIfsmKsLhYNE\/edit?usp=sharing\">Last year's selected projects can be found here.<\/a><\/li>\n<li><a href=\"https:\/\/drive.google.com\/drive\/folders\/1G_XWIQgNNs19o84ZpFfbPKjjs_VXSyDH?usp=drive_link\">Media Assets and Guidelines are here.<\/a><\/li>\n<li>Selected projects will be showcased at the Film Festival AND another event.
