  1. Objective:<\/strong>\n

    1. Students will share feedback for the rough drafts of their scripts for this year's Film Festival in order to improve the quality.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<\/li>\n
    2. Warm-Up: 2025-10-30: Script Prep<\/strong><\/a>\n
        \n
      1. You're about to show your script to a lot of peers. Look over it and make any last-minute fixes you catch, then use this form so Mr. Smith can print it for you.<\/a><\/li>\n
      2. Warm-Ups are usually a 5 point Independent Work grade if a written response is expected, or a 5 point Assessment grade if the Warm-Up is a quiz. They are due at the start of class and not eligible for late submission or re-submission.<\/em><\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<\/li>\n
      3. Announcements<\/strong>:<\/strong>\n

        1. November's Arcade Day is scheduled for<\/strong> Monday, November 24th.<\/strong><\/span>\n
            \n
          1. You will need to have a 70% OR HIGHER in this class to be eligible.<\/li>\n
          2. This does not change any deadlines.<\/li>\n
          3. This will also be a T-Shirt Printing Day.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<\/li>\n
          4. Create & Collaborate Conference<\/strong>\n

            2. The names have already been selected, THIS CLASS is taking at least 3 per grade level.<\/li>\n
            3. You will be given a T-Shirt before the event. MAKE SURE you wear it on the day of the trip!<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<\/li>\n

              1. The Historians will be visiting us on January 6th.\n

                1. You will be working on this project as a group. (Mr. Smith is picking the groups.)<\/li>\n
                2. Each group will be producing 3 videos, each with its own separate thumbnail image:\n

                  1. 60 second video<\/li>\n
                  2. 30 second video<\/li>\n
                  3. 15 second video<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<\/li>\n
                  4. Target Audience:\u00a0PG County Students & Residents (of all ages).<\/li>\n
                  5. Focus: Darnall\u2019s Chance & the Community Engagement & Visitation in regards to the 250th Anniversary of the American Revolution.\n

                      5. How do you see yourself in stories of the colonial period (Shared Experience)<\/li>\n
                      6. \u201cPast Port\u201d to History, visit all sites to win a trip to a Historic Trust location.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<\/li>\n

                        1. This month we\u2019re training our eyes to feel<\/em> with the camera. Hunt for surfaces that invite touch\u2014peeling paint, knit sweaters, tree bark, rain on glass\u2014and use light and focus to make those details jump off the frame. Aim for side-light to reveal ridges and grooves, get close to fill the frame, and try a black-and-white edit to emphasize shape and contrast.<\/li>\n

                          1. Use side lighting<\/strong> (morning\/late afternoon) to carve out depth.<\/li>\n
                          2. Get close \/ macro<\/strong> to fill the frame with detail.<\/li>\n
                          3. Test depth of field: wide (f\/2.8\u20134) for isolated texture, narrow (f\/8\u201311) for full detail.<\/li>\n
                          4. In editing, nudge contrast\/clarity\/sharpen<\/strong>\u2014but keep it natural.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<\/li>\n
