Our 1st semester will focus on media creation, while or 2nd semester will focus more on coding.<\/p>\n

    1. Students will use their PGCPS login multiple times to show they are prepared for this year's Media Arts lessons.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<\/li>\n

      1. No late work for this Quarter will be accepted after Thursday, October 16th!<\/strong><\/span>\n

        1. This deadline is 2 weeks before the end of the Quarter. That time is needed to ensure all late work handed in before then is graded in a timely fashion.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n

            2. I was thrilled with the number of students who logged in without my help last class. This class, I suspect that even more of you will be able to get to the Typing.com lessons.<\/a><\/li>\n
            3. Today, Mr. Smith will hand out this year's \"Internet Passports.\"\n

              1. These folded papers will include your username and password. Your username will resemble your name, but you'll notice some differences.\n
                  \n
                1. Your username is all lowercase letters. It usually does not matter if a username has capital or lowercase letters, it will still work.<\/li>\n
                2. Your username has a hyphen (minus sign) between your first and last name instead of a space<\/strong>. If your name normally has a hyphen anywhere else, that will be missing.<\/li>\n
                3. There may be other differences, including missing letters, extra letters, a number, or a name you no longer use.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<\/li>\n
                4. Unlike your username, your password is a secret.\n

                    1. You're allowed to share your password with your parents and teachers.<\/span><\/li>\n
                    2. You should not<\/strong> share your password with siblings or any other students.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n

                      1. If someone uses your password to do something online, you're responsible for their actions.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<\/li>\n
                      2. With your Internet Passwords in hand, you'll get to log into the lab computers.\n
                          \n
                        1. If you were in Mr. Smith's class last year, this will look very familiar.<\/li>\n
                        2. If you weren't in Mr. Smith's class last year, he's here to help.<\/li>\n
                        3. Mr. Smith WILL NOT type your username or password for you.<\/strong> This is a graded activity for you to complete!<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<\/li>\n
                        4. Once you're logged in, Mr. Smith will help you get onto the internet and visit this website.\n
                            \n
                          1. If you're here, congratulations! You made it!<\/li>\n
                          2. Now log into Clever and visit Typing.com to do the Pre-Typing lessons while Mr. Smith helps the other students.<\/a><\/li>\n
                          3. (If you are absent, the make-up work is to complete all of the Pre-Typing lessons in Typing.com<\/span>. Remember, though, that this will only be graded if the absence is marked as Excused<\/span> by Ms. Holmes in the Main Office!)<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<\/li>\n
