This has affected the A\/B Day Schedule for the rest of the year!<\/strong><\/span><\/li>\n<li><strong>Monthly Media Arts Incentive:<\/strong>\n<ol>\n<li>\"Arcade Day\" at the end of the month.\n<ol>\n<li><strong>February's Arcade Day is scheduled for 02\/27\/2025.<\/strong><\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<\/li>\n<li>Students remain eligible unless a Notice of Concern has been earned that month for grades or behavior, though a student who missed out from low grades can earn back their Arcade Day privileges if they bring their grade back up.\n<ol>\n<li>Check SchoolMax - if your avg is 70% or above, you're probably eligible.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<\/li>\n<li><a href=\"https:\/\/www.wevideo.com\/\">WeVideo<\/a>\n<ol>\n<li>Most of you already know the basics of using <a href=\"https:\/\/www.wevideo.com\/\">WeVideo<\/a> to edit video and audio. Ask for help if needed.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<\/li>\n<li><strong>Previous Lessons<br \/>\n<\/strong><\/p>\n<ol>\n<li>Project 1: <a href=\"https:\/\/fouloistech.info\/ma\/2025\/01\/27\/technology-concepts-q3-01-27-2025\/\">1\/27<\/a><\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<\/li>\n<li><strong>Project 1, Due 02-04<\/strong>\n<ol>\n<li>There will be four (4) projects due this Quarter, spaced roughly 2 weeks apart.\n<ol>\n<li>[It was found that while three (3) projects gave more time, a low grade on one project wrecked the average for the Quarter.]<\/li>\n<li>[It was also found that while five (5) projects made certain that no one project could ruin an average, there was little time to get anything done.]<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<\/li>\n<li>While students in this class will usually get to <a href=\"https:\/\/fouloistech.info\/Lessons_6-8\/index.html\">choose which projects they want to do<\/a>, there are some non-negotiable activities mandated by PGCPS.<\/li>\n<li>Everyone's Project 1 for this Quarter must be one of the \"Core\" projects in the top left section. Being lazy on this step requires more work later. Who wants to do more work?\n<ol>\n<li>(While more experience can always bring that ratio down, it <em>never<\/em> reaches 1:1.)<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<\/li>\n<li><strong>Complete Production By 01-31!<\/strong>\n<ol>\n<li>This step should take the least amount of time. Most of your work for most projects should be pre- or post-production.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<\/li>\n<li><strong>Complete And Hand In Post-Production By 02-04!<\/strong>\n<ol>\n<li>This is when you hand in your work, not when you start your post-production.<\/li>\n<li>Students who wait until the day a project is due tend to run into last minute problems that can't be fixed in a day.<\/li>\n<li>When in doubt, export what you have and hand it in. <em>An unfinished but viewable project will always earn more points than an unviewable or late project!<\/em><\/li>\n<li><em>Projects are 100 point Classwork grades, and are not eligible for late submission.<\/em>\n<ol>\n<li><em>Projects <strong>are<\/strong> eligible for re-submission, but only once and with a limited window. These details are covered <a href=\"https:\/\/fouloistech.info\/ma\/syllabus-grades-6-8\/\">in the syllabus<\/a> and will be reviewed in more detail after Critique Day.<\/em><\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<\/li>\n<li><strong>\"Put Out Fires\" Day is 02-06!<\/strong>\n<ol>\n<li>Ideally this is a day to begin work on Project 2. It is built in as a day to deal with emergencies that happened while working on Project 1.<\/li>\n<li>If you are beginning Project 1 today, you are going to have a rushed, incomplete project.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<\/li>\n<li><strong>Critique Day: 02-10!<\/strong>\n<ol>\n<li>The work that's handed in will be shown to the rest of the class, and students will be asked to critique the work of their peers.<\/li>\n<li>Every student will be expected to critique a minimum of ten (10) student-submitted projects, with additional critiques scored as extra credit.\n<ol>\n<li>Each critique can earn up to three (3) points.\n<ol>\n<li>One point for <em>meaningful positive feedback<\/em>.<\/li>\n<li>One point for <em>actionable constructive feedback<\/em>.<\/li>\n<li>One point for the feedback being <em>specific to the project<\/em> being critiqued.
