If you are absent, you will need to make it up OUTSIDE of class.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<\/li>\n<li><strong>Today's Lesson: <a href=\"https:\/\/pgcps.instructure.com\/courses\/728520\/assignments\/10881628\">MineTest Defenses<\/a><br \/>\n<\/strong><\/p>\n<ol>\n<li>Today's lesson will be completed in MineTest, which I have installed on the Lab computers.<\/li>\n<li>To begin today's work, you will need to complete ALL missing Code.org work.\n<ol>\n<li>If you <a href=\"https:\/\/clever.com\/oauth\/authorize?channel=clever&amp;client_id=4c63c1cf623dce82caac&amp;confirmed=true&amp;district_id=5238c83b5cd6af6a6300156a&amp;redirect_uri=https%3A%2F%2Fclever.com%2Fin%2Fauth_callback&amp;response_type=code&amp;state=5a8aa0dc345e2ac00eb717d9bc5a417afd752343b29364af3ae72acf3dcdff12\">previously completed your Code.org work<\/a>, Mr. Smith has a username and password for you to use to connect to the in-room MineTest server.<\/li>\n<li>If you complete your Code.org work during class today, you will have to show Mr. Smith in order to receive your username and password.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<\/li>\n<li>Mr. Smith will show the class how to log in, and the basic rules you are expected to follow.\n<ol>\n<li>We are beginning our unit in Survival Mode, with damage turned off. (MineTest lets us do that.)<\/li>\n<li>Your 10x10 building lots form a town that will need to be defended from monsters. To do that, you'll need to manage the following things as a group:\n<ol>\n<li>Gather supplies (food, building materials).<\/li>\n<li>Build walls around the town.<\/li>\n<li>Make sure everything in town is well lit. (The roads are lit with glowstone, but your homes may have dark spots where monsters can spawn!)<\/li>\n<li>Craft weapons (and armor) to fight anything that gets past the walls.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<\/li>\n<li>This is easiest to do if you pick different responsibilities as you work together, but its YOUR jobs to work together.<\/li>\n<li>You MUST NOT mess with any other students. Doing so can get you banned from the server.
