Hello BDF family! Today, we will be focusing on improving our teamwork and interview skills with a group drill activity. In the past, the average student interview project normally consisted of a single camera angle and very rushed dialogue. We've been told as a department in the whole county that it's time to level up from that. I've already mentioned this to students in our previous class, but this year we will be improving this skill set as it's not easy making an interview lively and engaging for audience as one might think. Questions have to be intentional, the speaker and interviewee have to be comfortable talking to each other, and a real conversation has to happen. The goal of today is to simply get started in understanding these concepts, which can in turn improve our video planning skills as well. Also, the selected 8th grader group leaders may potentially be who I call on to lead our upcoming school podcast projects (more information coming later) so I'll be keeping an eye on who would either be interested or recommended to help run it.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
