  5. Today's Lesson: Code.org Lesson 8: Build a Star Wars Game
    1. Vocabulary:
      1. Algorithm - A list of steps to finish a task.
      2. Bug - Part of a program that does not work correctly.
      3. Collaborate - Work together on an activity
      4. Debugging - Finding and fixing problems in an algorithm or program.
      5. Decompose - Break problems down into smaller steps
      6. Event - An action that causes something to happen.
      7. Hardware - The physical parts of the computer that you can see and touch, like the monitor, the central processing unit (CPU), the keyboard, and the mouse.
      8. Loop - The action of doing something over and over again.
      9. Program - An algorithm that has been coded into something that can be run by a machine.
      10. Programming - The art of creating a program.
      11. Software - Instructions that tells the hardware how to do specific tasks.
    2. Code.org levels should be completed in Code.org, which you should log into through Clever.
    3. There are ten (10) levels for this lesson. You will need to COMPLETE (PERFECT) nine (9) levels by meeting the objectives in each portion.
      1. Level 10 is Free Play and will not be graded.
    4. This is an IN-CLASS assignment, NOT HOMEWORK. Please stay on task to complete this work by the end of class! There are no more extended deadlines this close to the end of the Quarter!
