THIS VIDEO EXPLAINS THE EXPECTATIONS FOR THE DAY! (It covers a different typing lesson but the instructions are the same.)

  1. Objective:
    1. Locate the home row on the keyboard.
    2. Type selected keys with a minimum number of errors.
  2. Announcements:
    1. The last day for any late work is Friday, March 13th!
      1. All work not completed by then will remain a zero.
      2. Any work assigned after then is due the same day.
  3. Previous Lessons: Intro to Media Arts, Graphics: Piskel Animations, J, F, and Space,  Graphics: Method Draw Landscapes, Graphics: Sketchpad Storytelling
  4. Today's Lesson: Typing.com: U, R, and K
    1. On weeks where we are able to meet more than once, the 2nd class will be a Typing.com lesson that is graded as a 10 point Assessment grade. (Your score will be determined by your percentage of completion.)
    2. We begin by logging into Clever and finding the button for Typing.com.
    3. When logging in, you may be asked to identify the class you are in. Make sure you pick the one that lists MR. SMITH as your teacher!
    4. Once you've done this, the only lessons we've unlocked so far.
    5. Watch each of the included videos and follow the directions. Do your best to not look at your keyboard while typing! An image on the screen will show you how to move your hands as you learn to touch-type.
    6. This is an IN-CLASS assignment, NOT HOMEWORK. Please stay on task to complete this work by the end of class so you don't have to make it up later!
