    1. Students will edit their projects to showcase their interests.

    1. Warm-Up 2025-04-24: Lessons Learned
      1. 6th Grade
      2. 7th & 8th Grade
      3. Take a moment to list media arts skills you have now that you've learned or improved upon since your first day in this major.
      4. Using bullet points or a numbered list for your formatting is recommended.
      5. This is an opportunity to show off, make use of it.
    2. Warm-Ups are usually a 5 point Independent Work grade if a written response is expected, or a 5 point Assessment grade if the Warm-Up is a quiz. They are due at the start of class and not eligible for late submission or re-submission.
  4. Announcements:
    1. We are still not recording in the hallway for this project.
      1. The behavior of majors while we had guests in the building let me know that you're still not ready to be in the hall. Reflect on this and plan accordingly. "But I need to..." is an admission that you did not plan around this problem.
    2. What makes your project YOURS, and not just like everyone else's project?
      1. Other people have solved this problem.
      2. Solomon Sloan, a former major, solved this problem with an interview project.
    3. "Arcade Day" at the end of the month.
      1. April's Arcade day is scheduled for Wednesday, April 30th! THIS WILL ALSO BE A T-SHIRT PRINTING DAY!
    4. Check Synergy - if your avg is 70% or above, you're probably eligible.

      5. Do you have a plan that isn't a slideshow?
  6. Film Festival Awards Ceremony May 7th
    1. We will be taking 20 students. (That's less than 1/2 of the majors. This number is determined by the venue, not us.)
    2. Dress code is "Dress to impress."
    3. Students with works in the show should have a short acceptance speech ready, just in case. (No, I do not know who will win.)
    4. There are TWO types of awards. The "Academy Awards" are determined by a panel of judges, and the "People's Choice" awards are determined by the voting that closed on April 11th.
    5. On 4/24 I was sent an email saying which videos were nominated for Academy Awards. They may or may not win, but it's thrilling to see they've been nominated.

The 4th project of each Quarter is not eligible for re-submission due to its proximity to the end of the Quarter!
  12. Deadlines for future projects are not adjusted. Students are encouraged to not put off starting Project 4 because they've decided to work on redoing Project 3 from scratch.
