Hello BDF family, this is Mr. A. Williams from Media Arts class. By now all classes have finished with our first audio/video project and we will now be moving on to story planning this week. 3rd and 4th grade will be doing storyboards on provided paper with provided pencils, and 5th grade will be learning about story arcs to further enhance the flow of their storytelling (they will be doing storyboards next week exclusively).
The only difference between all grades regarding storyboards is the number of panels each class is required to do (3rd grade will complete 8 panels, 4th grade will complete 12 panels, and 5th grade will complete 16 panels) with panels meaning the number of screen squares we will be drawing. No worries, storyboards aren't about how good the drawing are, but about how clear each camera shot is. Understanding this is key to Media Arts, but I will save the lecture for class.
