THIS VIDEO GOES OVER THE EXPECTATIONS FOR TODAY!

Our 2nd semester will focus more on coding than media creation, though we will have other lessons sprinkled in.

Regardless of the lesson, FouloisTech.info should be your destination every time you come into class. This space will be used to provide announcements, lessons, and other resources.

  1. Objective:
    1. Students will be able to:
      • Demonstrate the ability to manipulate objects in a 3D digital space.
      • Make constructive, aesthetic choices while building 3D digital objects.
  2. Announcements:
    1. The last day for late work was Thursday, March 20th!

      1. Students have been informed of this deadline every day we've had class this Quarter.
      2. All work given between now and April 3rd is due in class.
    2. Previous Lessons: Lesson 2, Lesson 3, Lesson 4 & Quiz 1, Lesson 5, Lesson 6, Lesson 7, Lesson 8, Lesson 9, Lesson 10, Lesson 11, Lesson 13, Luanti Stages
  3. Today's Lesson: Photography

    1. Today, Mr. Smith will have a camera for each of you to use.
      1. To take a photo, first hold the camera in BOTH hands. This helps to steady the camera.
      2. Make sure your feet are a shoulder's width apart. This helps to steady YOU while you steady the camera.
      3. Use the LCD panel to see where the camera is pointed. Find something interesting to photograph. That will be your subject, or focal point.
      4. Have the camera focus on your subject by pushing the shutter partway down. You may see the image shift slightly.
      5. Press the shutter button all the way down to take the photo.
        1. You may have to wait for the screen to turn black and then light back up again. DON'T MOVE THE CAMERA until it's done.
        2. When pressing the shutter button, be careful not to push the whole camera down. You'll end up taking a picture of something else!
      6. We're going to take a lot of photos and look over them later. Don't spend all of your time looking at the photos now, that means you aren't taking more photos!
      7. Cameras tend to have timers that turn them off if you aren't using them. If your camera turns off, Mr. Smith will know you weren't taking photos.
  4. This is an IN-CLASS assignment, NOT HOMEWORK. Please stay on task to complete this work by the end of class!
