THIS VIDEO EXPLAINS THE EXPECTATIONS FOR THE DAY!
Our 1st semester will focus on media creation, while or 2nd semester will focus more on coding.
Regardless of the lesson, FouloisTech.info should be your destination every time you come into class. This space will be used to provide announcements, lessons, and other resources.
- Objective:
- Students will create scripts to prepare for recording and editing video.
- Announcements:
- Today's Lesson:
- Video 1: Cut Conversation Script
- Grading Rubric:
4 Points Story has very few spelling and/or grammatical errors. Proofread! 3 Points Story has one character tell a joke to another character, and shows the other character's reaction. 3 Points Story is appropriate for school. - Today, Mr. Smith is going to show you how cuts and camera angles can be used to have one person play two parts in a video.
- Remember, WE ARE ONLY WRITING THE SCRIPT TODAY! This demonstration of the process is not a full how-to for the editing. Mr. Smith will show that in a future class.

- Think about how simple changes to posture, tone of voice, outfit choices, and camera directions can change how the audience perceives you.
- Use this paper handout or the text box in Canvas and write a short script where a Character 1 greets Character 2, shares a joke, and gets a reaction from Character 2.
- While any school-appropriate joke is fair game, puns are encouraged.
- Proofread your script! If you're following the step above, you may have already noticed some spelling or grammatical errors. Fix them as you find them in order to avoid losing points later.
- You will only have two attempts to hand this in. If your first attempt does not earn a 10/10 you will receive feedback on how to improve it.
- This is an IN-CLASS assignment, NOT HOMEWORK. Please stay on task to complete this work by the end of class!
