3rd Grade, D, Smith, 01-05 – Video 3

Please forgive the brevity of this lesson as I recover from carpal tunnel. This video was made for a different class but the content remains the same.

  1. Objective:
    1. Students will record videos based on their storyboards to understand the techniques behind "movie magic."
  2. Announcements:
    1. No late work for this Quarter will be accepted after Monday, January 12th!
      1. This deadline is 2 weeks before the end of the Quarter and is far more lenient than PGCPS policy.
      2. Work owed from unexcused absences will still not be accepted.
      3. Between January 12th and the last day of the Quarter, PGCPS policy will be followed.
  3. Previous Lessons: Audio 1, Audio 2, Audio 3, Audio 4, Audio 5, Video 1, Video 2, Video 3, Video 4, Video 5, Video 6
  4. Today's Lesson: Video 3: Magic Trick Record
    1. Today, Mr. Smith is going to have you taking turns to record what you planned in your storyboard.
      1. (If you are doing this from home, you can use WeVideo. (This video shows how to record in WeVideo.)
    2. Use the actions you planned out in your storyboard as your guide! (Otherwise, why make a storyboard?)
    3. Watch your recording!
      1. What went well?
      2. What could you do better?
    4. Make a second set of recording (if time allows), then compare the two sets.
      1. Keep the better set of recordings and delete the other one.
    5. Use the text box in Canvas to share something you noticed when recording today.
  5. This is an IN-CLASS assignment, NOT HOMEWORK. Please stay on task to complete this work by the end of class!
