3rd Grade, D. Smith, 06-02 to 06-05 – Code.org Wrap-Up

Our 1st semester will focus on media creation, while or 2nd semester will focus more on coding.

Regardless of the lesson, FouloisTech.info should be your destination every time you come into class. This space will be used to provide announcements, lessons, and other resources.

  1. Objective:
    1. Students will be able to:
      • Demonstrate what they've previously learned during our coding unit.
  2. Announcements:,
    1. The last day for late work is Thursday, June 5th!
      1. All work not completed by then will remain a zero.
      2. Any work assigned after then is due the same day.
    2. Previous Lessons: Lesson 2, Lesson 3, Lesson 4, Lesson 6 & Quiz 1, Lesson 7, Lesson 8, Lesson 9, Lesson 10, Lesson 14
  3. Today's Lesson: Code.org Wrap-Up
    1. Vocabulary:
      1. 6-02: Let's see what you remember with this Coding Vocabulary Quiz 2!
      2. 6-05: Let's see what you remember with this Coding Vocabulary Quiz 3!
    2. Today's lesson is only to be completed if students are caught up on their work in Code.org, which you should log into through Clever.
      1. Today's Luanti challenge will be done in Survival Mode, but to speed the process up, damage has been disabled.
        1. Don't waste time fighting monsters, they can't hurt you.
        2. Don't waste time in PvP, you can't hurt other players.
        3. Annoying other players by messing with their builds and/or stealing from them can still get you banned, which is an instant zero.
      2. In the short time we have together, you're asked to complete the following tasks:
        1. Find a good place to build a base. (Don't travel too far, or you'll have no time for the other steps.)
        2. Build an above ground starter house. (With the time constraints in place this should probably be mostly made of wood.)
        3. Build a farm and plant some crops.
        4. Bonus: Build an animal pen and gather some farm animals.
    • This is an IN-CLASS assignment, NOT HOMEWORK. Please stay on task to complete this work by the end of class!
