TODAY'S VIDEO OVERVIEW IS HERE!
- Objective:
- Students will begin recording their 3rd Q3 projects to showcase their interests.
- Warm-Up:
- 2025-03-06:
- Warm-Ups are usually a 5 point Independent Work grade if a written response is expected, or a 5 point Assessment grade if the Warm-Up is a quiz. They are due at the start of class and not eligible for late submission or re-submission.
- Announcements:
- We are not recording in the hallway for this project.
- Students being disrespectful have ruined this privilege. Reflect on this and plan accordingly. "But I need to..." is an admission that you did not plan around this problem.
- What makes your project YOURS, and not just like everyone else's project?
- If you can't answer this, then you are likely making things that look like other people's work.
- If your work looks like everyone else's, you are easily replaceable.
- Templates
- Stock transitions
- Popular tools that "do the work" for you
- "Arcade Day" at the end of the month.
- March's Arcade Day is scheduled for Wednesday, April 2nd! THIS WILL ALSO BE A T-SHIRT PRINTING DAY!
- Students remain eligible unless a Notice of Concern has been earned that month for grades or behavior, though a student who missed out from low grades can earn back their Arcade Day privileges if they bring their grade back up.
- Check Canvas - if your avg is 70% or above, you're probably eligible.
- Ineligible students should be working on a project re-submission or their next project.
- Arcade Days do not change project deadlines! All work is still due!
- We are not recording in the hallway for this project.
- March 17th is Group Picture Day!

- Projects are 100 point Classwork grades, and are not eligible for late submission.
- Feedback from the critiques is provided in the Canvas assignment for that project.
- Projects are eligible for re-submission, but only once. They must be resubmitted using the same form as before, and no later than 10 days after feedback has been shared with them in Canvas. The 4th project of each Quarter is not eligible for re-submission due to its proximity to the end of the Quarter!
- Deadlines for future projects are not adjusted. Students are encouraged to not put off starting Project 4 because they've decided to work on redoing Project 3 from scratch.
- Exit Ticket
- 03-04-2025 - 03-06-2025 Exit Ticket
- Exit Tickets "go live" at 2:35pm on the last A Day of the week (assuming a normal schedule) and should be completed within those 10 minutes.
-
4 pts Proofread your work. 3 pts What did you accomplish in Media Arts this week? 3 pts What did you learn in Media Arts this week? - NOTE: If you do not describe WHAT you did while working on your project, saying you worked on it is not enough information to earn credit.
- Exit Tickets are always 10 point Classwork grades and not eligible for late submission or re-submission. They are due during the last 10 minutes of the last class of the week.
