THIS VIDEO REVIEWS THE MOST IMPORTANT CONTENT COVERED IN CLASS TODAY!
- Objective:
- Students will at least complete the post-production stages of their last project of the Quarter to demonstrate what they have learned during this Semester.
- Warm-Up:
- 2025-01-22: Warm-Up: Reaction GIF
6th Grade
- 7th-8th Grade
- Steps:
- Use your desktop's webcam to record yourself reenacting a reaction gif. (DO NOT SPEND TIME "RESEARCHING" MEMES AND GIFS! YOU'VE SEEN THEM BEFORE, PICK ONE YOU REMEMBER ENJOYING!)
- (Or just recreate the example here, that's also an option.)
- (If you are using a web browser to record, you will need to use Chrome for this.)
- (Your recording SHOULD NOT be longer than 10 seconds, this is a warm-up, not a full project, and a shorter GIF exports faster.)
- Use WeVideo to trim off excess video and add relevant text to your recording.
- When exporting from WeVideo, make sure you are selecting "GIF," not "Video" or "Podcast."
- Hand in the results in Canvas. (Use the button for uploading images,)
- Rubric:
- 3 pts: GIF upload is of the student and is no longer than 10 seconds TRT.
- 2 pts: GIF upload has relevant text included.
- Warm-Ups are usually a 5 point Independent Work grade if a written response is expected, or a 5 point Assessment grade if the Warm-Up is a quiz. They are due at the start of class and not eligible for late submission or re-submission.

- Projects are 100 point Classwork grades, and are not eligible for late submission.
- Feedback from the critiques is provided in the Canvas assignment for that project.
- Projects are eligible for re-submission, but only once. They must be resubmitted using the same form as before, and no later than 10 days after feedback has been shared with them in Canvas. The 4th project of each Quarter is not eligible for re-submission due to its proximity to the end of the Quarter!
- Deadlines for future projects are not adjusted. Students are encouraged to not put off starting Project 4 because they've decided to work on redoing Project 3 from scratch.
- Exit Ticket
- Due to the grading window's proximity, there will not be an Exit Ticket this week.
