THIS VIDEO EXPLAINS TODAY'S EXPECTATIONS!
Our 1st semester will focus on media creation, while or 2nd semester will focus more on coding.
Regardless of the lesson, FouloisTech.info should be your destination every time you come into class. This space will be used to provide announcements, lessons, and other resources.
- Objective:
- Students will familiarize themselves with Luanti to demonstrate aesthetic choices and creative problem solving skills.
- Announcements:
- Friday, January 10th was the last day for any late work!
- This deadline was 2 weeks before the end of the Quarter.
- That time is needed to ensure all late work handed in before then is graded in a timely fashion.
- This notice has been present in every lesson assigned this Quarter, and has been mentioned in every "Notice of Concern" email.
- Previous lessons: Audio 1, Audio 2, Audio 3, Audio 4, Audio 5, Video 1, Video 2, Video 3, Video 4, Video 5, Video 6

- Today's Lesson: Luanti Staging
- Grading Rubric:
4 Points Sentences have very few spelling and/or grammatical errors. Proofread! 3 Points Sentences share something you learned during this lesson. 3 Points Sentences share something you enjoyed during this lesson. - Getting started:
- At this point most of you already have Luanti configured on your computers. Today we're using it not as an incentive, but as a learning tool.
- Use the steps shown previously to connect to our classroom server. Your username should be your first name (add your last name's initial if more than one of you has the same first name).
- While the incentive map still exists, today's work will be done in a flat world so no one needs to worry about getting lost. You'll also be in "creative mode," as we're working on building skills, not gathering skills.
- Today's tasks:
- Your first job will be to claim a "stage" by making a platform that's 10 blocks by 10 blocks (100 blocks total).
- Add a sign to your stage to claim it. No one should mess with your stage, and you should not mess with anyone else's directly or indirectly.
- Atop your stage, build the best circle you can make. You MAY NOT build beyond the boundaries of your 10x10 stage.
- Go to Canvas and share something you learned & something you liked regarding today's lesson.
- Optional: Use the Print Screen button on the keyboard to take a picture of your stage and circle.
- Grading Rubric:
- This is an IN-CLASS assignment, NOT HOMEWORK. Please stay on task to complete this work by the end of class!
