Session 5 Recap
Characters:
- Xytar, the Risk-Taking Dragon Warrior Who Looks for Trouble
- Hyoto, the Charming Chimera Hermit Crab Explorer who Talks to Machines
- Finthetic Eian, the Artificial Intelligence Empathetic Adept who Looks for Trouble
Uravity the Creative Felis Adept who Travels Through Time
Plot:
The party boarded The Ship to discover the top deck had been converted into a giant farm run by 4 ft tall anthropomorphic rats.
The rats, led by the cooks Sam and Ella, did not have much in the way of historical records. To them, The Ship had always been home, the crops had always been here, and anywhere not The Ship was seen as incredibly dangerous.
(There are other ships, also occupied by rats, and these occasionally bump into each other.)
In their introductions, the party learned that the lower decks belonged to Those Who Lurk Below, and than none who encountered them returned to tell the tale. Xytar heroically offered to have the party go and deal with the threat.
Upon entering the lower decks the party heard the sounds of metal creaking and odd clicking sounds.
It was discovered that Xytar's character is built in a way that allows him to breathe fire pretty much whenever he wants, so he did just that to provide a light source.
It looked like the ceiling was moving.
Finthetic felt like something was in their hair, which was odd as they had none. They brushed it off, and something scurried away, bumping Hyoto in the process.
Xytar shot fire at the ceiling and there was more scurrying in the dark as Finthetic successfully got out of the way.
At the end of the session, large crab legs and claws started extending out from a nearby doorway towards the party.
Session 5 - Cypher System
Character Options
Character creation should be finished for now, though if our new player attends they will be selecting one of the pre-mades I've prepared to get them into the game quickly.
Some players may choose to spend 4 XP to increase certain character abilities before we get into the plot.
Gameplay
The giant crabs are omnivores adapted to living in cave-like environments, where all nutrients are precious. The larger ones see the adventurers as their next meal.
What happens next is up to the players.
Games so far: Lasers & Feelings, Cypher System
