4th Grade, Curtis, 10-14 – Video 5

THIS VIDEO EXPLAINS THE EXPECTATIONS FOR THE DAY!

Our 1st semester will focus on media creation, while or 2nd semester will focus more on coding.

Regardless of the lesson, FouloisTech.info should be your destination every time you come into class. This space will be used to provide announcements, lessons, and other resources.

  1. Objective:
    1. Students will edit their recordings to see how commonly used movie magic is not as hard as it seems.
  2. Announcements:
    1. No late work for this Quarter will be accepted after Thursday, October 17th!
      1. This deadline is 2 weeks before the end of the Quarter. That time is needed to ensure all late work handed in before then is graded in a timely fashion.
    2. Previous lessons: Audio 1, Audio 2, Audio 3, Audio 4, Audio 5, Video 1, Video 2, Video 3, Typing 1, Video 4
  3. Today's Lesson:
    1. Video 5: Cut Conversation Edit (2 of 2)
    2. Grading Rubric:
4 Points Video is easy to see and audio is easy to hear.
3 Points Video has one character tell a joke to another character, and shows the other character's reaction.
3 Points Video has a title and credits.
      1. Today, we are going to continue using WeVideo.
      1. You will need your storyboard from Video 2 and your recording(s) from Video 3.
      2. These video tutorials can help if you're stuck on a certain part. Mr. Smith will show how to do this in class.
        1. WeVideo - Recording (2:39)
        2. WeVideo - Cuts (1:56)
        3. WeVideo - Export (5:45)
      3. Follow Mr. Smith's directions for adding a title at the beginning and credits at the end.
        1. Even if you're the only person who worked on it, YOUR NAME should be in the credits!
      4. When your video is complete, you should click the "Download" button underneath it to get a file you can hand in.
        1. You will be handing in this downloaded file for Video 5.
  4. You will only have two attempts to hand this in. If your first attempt does not earn a 10/10 you will receive feedback on how to improve it.
  5. This is an IN-CLASS assignment, NOT HOMEWORK. Please stay on task to complete this work by the end of class!
