4th Grade, Curtis, 09-30 – Video 3

THIS VIDEO EXPLAINS THE EXPECTATIONS FOR THE DAY!

Our 1st semester will focus on media creation, while or 2nd semester will focus more on coding.

Regardless of the lesson, FouloisTech.info should be your destination every time you come into class. This space will be used to provide announcements, lessons, and other resources.

  1. Objective:
    1. Students will use their storyboards to record their videos to see how planning makes a task easier.
  2. Announcements:
    1. No late work for this Quarter will be accepted after Thursday, October 17th!
      1. This deadline is 2 weeks before the end of the Quarter. That time is needed to ensure all late work handed in before then is graded in a timely fashion.
    2. Previous lessons: Audio 1, Audio 2, Audio 3, Audio 4, Audio 5, Video 1, Video 2
  3. Today's Lesson:
    1. Video 3: Cut Conversation Record
    2. Today, Mr. Smith is going to have you taking turns to record what you planned in your storyboard.
      1. (If you are doing this from home, you can use WeVideo. This video shows how to record in WeVideo.)
    3. You will need to record your script OUT OF ORDER!
        1. Record all of Character 1's lines first, then all of Character 2's lines.
        2. This will save time with switching between characters and camera angles.
        3. Recording 1
        4. Recording 2
    4. Watch your recording!
      1. What went well?
      2. What could you do better?
    5. Make a second set of recordings, then compare the two sets.
      1. Keep the better set of recordings and delete the other one.
    6. Use the text box in Canvas to share something you noticed when recording today.
  4. You will only have two attempts to hand this in. If your first attempt does not earn a 10/10 you will receive feedback on how to improve it.
  5. This is an IN-CLASS assignment, NOT HOMEWORK. Please stay on task to complete this work by the end of class!
