5th Grade, McCrae, 9-26

THIS VIDEO EXPLAINS THE EXPECTATIONS FOR THE DAY!

Our 1st semester will focus on media creation, while or 2nd semester will focus more on coding.

Regardless of the lesson, FouloisTech.info should be your destination every time you come into class. This space will be used to provide announcements, lessons, and other resources.

  1. Objective:
    1. Students will record audio based on their storyboards to prepare for their animation project.
  2. Announcements:
    1. Arts Assessments are December 2-December 6! These will determine your major for next year! Be ready!
    2. No late work for this Quarter will be accepted after Thursday, October 17th!
      1. This deadline is 2 weeks before the end of the Quarter. That time is needed to ensure all late work handed in before then is graded in a timely fashion.
    3. Audio 1Audio 2, Audio 3, Audio 4, and Audio 5 are past due!
    4. Video 1, Video 2 are past due!
    5. All assignments up thru Video 2 will be on the Progress Report.
  3. Today's Lesson
    1. Video 3: Voice Acting
      1. Note: Animation is one of the categories in the annual PGCPS Student Film Festival! Recordings that are well done may be considered for entry into the contest!
      2. Use Tenacity (or WeVideo if you're doing this from home) to record and export the lines spoken by both of your animal characters, based on your storyboard and script.
        1. You should use a different character voice for each animal so your audience can easily tell them apart!
      3. Listen to your recording!
        1. What went well?
        2. What could you do better?
      4. Make a second recording, then compare the two.
        1. Keep the better recording and delete the other one.
      5. Use the text box in Canvas to share something you noticed when recording today.
        1. (You should still upload your recorded audio as a "just in case" backup, but it's the sentences that will be graded.)
      6. Proofread your sentences and press the button to hand them in.
  1. You will only have two attempts to hand this in. If your first attempt does not earn a 10/10 you will receive feedback on how to improve it.
  2. This is an IN-CLASS assignment, NOT HOMEWORK. Please stay on task to complete this work by the end of class!
