4th Grade, Curtis, 09-11

THIS VIDEO EXPLAINS THE EXPECTATIONS FOR THE DAY!

Our 1st semester will focus on media creation, while or 2nd semester will focus more on coding.

Regardless of the lesson, FouloisTech.info should be your destination every time you come into class. This space will be used to provide announcements, lessons, and other resources.

  1. Objective:
    1. Students will record and edit their most recent script to think about how sound effects can enhance a story.
  2. Announcements:
    1. No late work for this Quarter will be accepted after Thursday, October 17th!
      1. This deadline is 2 weeks before the end of the Quarter. That time is needed to ensure all late work handed in before then is graded in a timely fashion.
    2. Previous lessons: Audio 1, Audio 2, Audio 3
  3. Today's Lesson:
    1. Today's Lesson
      1. Audio 4: 6 Sound Story Recording
      2. Grading Rubric:
4 Points Recording is free of misspoken words and "verbal filler" like "um," "uh," and so on.
3 Points Story uses 3 of the 6 sound effects from this list: [cat meow], [rim shot], [applause], [crowd laugh], [crash], & [small dog bark].
3 Points Story and sound effects fit well together.
        1. To begin, you will first need to make sure you handed in your Audio 3 assignment. Without your script you will not have anything to record!
        2. Your script needed to have at least 3 sound effects. Use this link to find the sound effects you used so you can download them to your computer.
        3. If you are in class, we will again be using Tenacity. If you're trying this from home, the steps continue below.
          1. Go to WeVideo and click the "Log In" button. You should have set up your account during our Audio 2 lesson.
          2. The recording steps will be the same as the Audio 2 lesson, but we will also be uploading the sounds you scripted into your story using the "Import" button!

The steps to export and upload your finished project will be the same as we did for Audio 2.
  4. You will only have two attempts to hand this in. If your first attempt does not earn a 10/10 you will receive feedback on how to improve it.
  5. This is an IN-CLASS assignment, NOT HOMEWORK. Please stay on task to complete this work by the end of class!
