THIS VIDEO EXPLAINS TODAY'S EXPECTATIONS! (124 days until the 1st day of next school year!)
Today's Agenda:

  1. Announcements:
    1. No late work for 4th Quarter will be accepted after Friday, May 31st!
      1. This deadline is 2 weeks before the end of 4th Quarter. That time is needed to ensure all late work handed in before then is graded in a timely fashion.
      2. Lesson 3 was due on 04/03. Lesson 5 was due on 4/08. Lesson 6 was due on 4/12. Lesson 7 was due on 4-17.
  2. Today's Lesson: Code.org Lesson 8: Dance Party

    1. Code.org levels should be completed in Code.org, which you should log into through Clever.
      1. There is a known bug where sometimes it will log you in through Google instead.
      2. You'll know this has happened because you won't see our class (31-Elem Media Arts (2023-2024)) listed near the bottom of your Code.org Dashboard.
      3. If this happens, I cannot track your progress and you'll get a zero for the lesson.
      4. To fix this, log out of Code.org and log back in through Clever.
    2. IF YOU HAVE NOT YET COMPLETED THE PREVIOUS LESSONS, DO THOSE FIRST! These instructions assume you've completed them!
      1. There are fifteen (15) Levels (bubbles) for this lesson. You will need to COMPLETE (PERFECT) at least fourteen (14) of them by meeting the objectives in each portion.
        1. This looks like a lot, but 5 of these Levels are short videos to watch and the rest are chunked to simplify more complex directions.
        2. (Level 15 is a "Free Play" level, which is a reward for completing the previous levels and will not be graded.)
      1. You will know the bubble is completed because it will have turned a SOLID, BRIGHT GREEN.
      2. If the bubble is a pale green or only outlined with green, you will not earn credit for completing it. Revisit the assignment and see what you're missing.
    5. This is an IN-CLASS assignment, NOT HOMEWORK. Please stay on task to complete this work.
      1. Anything not done in class can be completed outside of class, but at that point it is past due MAKE-UP work!
