THIS VIDEO GOES OVER TODAY'S EXPECTATIONS!
- Warm-Up:
- 2024-04-02 Warm-Up: (E)TA, Part 3 of 6
- Open the document shared with you in this assignment and complete JUST the Media Literacy portion.
- This is your work for our Asynchronous Day assignment! I will be grading it based on the work you've completed by 11:20 AM!
- I am able to check the "Version History" of each document to see what was done by the due time.
- Warm-Ups are usually a 5 point Independent Work grade if a written response is expected, or a 5 point Assessment grade if the Warm-Up is a quiz. They are due at the start of class and not eligible for late submission or re-submission.
- 2024-04-02 Warm-Up: (E)TA, Part 3 of 6
- Monthly Incentives
- Monthly Media Arts Incentive:
- "Arcade Day" at the end of the month.
- March's Arcade Day is scheduled for 04/30/2024.
- Students remain eligible unless a Notice of Concern has been earned that month for grades or behavior, though a student who missed out from low grades can earn back their Arcade Day privileges if they bring their grade back up.
- Check SchoolMax - if your avg is 70% or above, you're probably eligible.
- Ineligible students should be working on a project re-submission or their next project.
- "Arcade Day" at the end of the month.
- Monthly Media Arts Incentive:
- (Exit) Technical Assessments
- These are required for EVERY CPA/VPA discipline in each CPA/VPA school, though there are variations.
- 8th & 12 grade students take the ETA, as they are "exiting" the school.
- 6th & 7th grade students are taking a similar assessment, but it's called the TA as they are not yet exiting the program.
- The (E)TA consists of several parts:
- A quiz on Media Arts vocabulary words. (Due 03-19)
- A quiz on camera shots. (Due 03-21)
- Viewing and evaluating the cinematography and effectiveness of a commercial. (Due 04-02)
- Self-critiquing/reviewing the Film Festival entry submitted this year.
- Self-critiquing/reviewing your favorite Media Arts project you made in all your years as a Media Arts major.
- Providing reflections on your time in the CPA Media Arts program.
- This will NOT be completed in one sitting. The plan is to complete 1 part each day we have class.
- We MUST have everything complete by April 20th. By doing one part per day, we'll hit that deadline.
- Q4 Project deadlines:
- Q4P1 (Student Choice): 04-12
- 04-02: Asynchronous Day (Do today's Warm-Up to earn credit!)
- 04-04: Pre-Production Due

- Projects are 100 point Classwork grades, and are not eligible for late submission.
- Feedback from the critiques is provided in the Canvas assignment for that project.
- Projects are eligible for re-submission, but only once. They must be resubmitted using the same form as before, and no later than 10 days after feedback has been shared with them in Canvas.
- Deadlines for future projects are not adjusted. Students are encouraged to not put off starting Project 4 because they've decided to work on redoing Project 3 from scratch.
- Q4P1 (Student Choice): 04-12
- Exit Ticket
- 2024-04-02 to 2024-04-05 Exit Ticket

4 pts Proofread your work. 3 pts What did you accomplish in Media Arts this week? 3 pts What did you learn in Media Arts this week? - NOTE: If you do not describe WHAT you did while working on your project, saying you worked on it is not enough information to earn credit.
-
- Exit Tickets are always 10 point Classwork grades and not eligible for late submission or re-submission. They are due at the end of each week, NOT BEFORE.
