- Today's Quiz: Coding Vocabulary Quiz 2
- We will complete this together in class, but if you are absent you'll have to make this up as soon as possible, as the cut-off for work is still tomorrow!
- Today's Lesson: MineTest Monster Attack!
- Today's lesson will be completed in MineTest, which I have installed on the Lab computers.
- To begin today's work, you will need to complete ALL missing Code.org work.
- If you previously completed your Code.org work, Mr. Smith has a username and password for you to use to connect to the in-room MineTest server.
- If you complete your Code.org work during class today, you will have to show Mr. Smith in order to receive your username and password.
- Mr. Smith will show the class how to log in, and the basic rules you are expected to follow.
- We are beginning our unit in Survival Mode, with damage turned on.
- Your town is being assaulted by monsters! Defend the town!
- If you ended the last session outside of town, you've been moved inside.
- If you had glowstone, obsidian, or bedrock in your inventory, it was removed.
- Most of you have been given armor and swords to help defend the town. (Some of you already had some armor and swords, those items have not been replaced.)
- Some villagers have run to your town seeking help! Make sure to protect them!
- This is easiest to do if you pick different responsibilities as you work together, but its YOUR jobs to work together.
- You MUST NOT mess with any other students. Doing so can get you banned from the server. This includes, but is not limited to:
- Intentionally attacking other players.
- Getting in the other student's way when they are placing blocks.
- Destroying blocks that are part of their build.
- Throwing things at other students.
- Spawning creatures that do any of the things above.
- We are beginning our unit in Survival Mode, with damage turned on.
- This is an IN-CLASS assignment, NOT HOMEWORK. (The MineTest server cannot be logged into outside of the computer lab.) Please stay on task to complete this work by the end of class!
- (There is nothing to complete in Canvas other than the quiz, I will be checking your work via Code.org. and on the MineTest server.)
