  1. Warm-Up: 
    1. 2024-02-20 Warm-Up: 3-Point Lighting
      1. Define the following terms as they relate to photography and the 3-point lighting system.
        1. 3-Point Lighting System
          • Key Light
          • Fill Light
          • Back Light
    2. Warm-Ups are usually a 5 point Independent Work grade if a written response is expected, or a 5 point Assessment grade if the Warm-Up is a quiz. They are due at the start of class and not eligible for late submission or re-submission.
  2. Modified Schedule
    1. Due to this morning's Parent/Teacher conferences, we're following a 2 hour delay schedule. For your convenience, I've copy/pasted it here.

  3. Monthly Incentives
    1. Monthly Media Arts Incentive:
      1. "Arcade Day" at the end of the month.
        1. February's Arcade Day is scheduled for 02/29/2024.
      2. Students remain eligible unless a Notice of Concern has been earned that month for grades or behavior, though a student who missed out from low grades can earn back their Arcade Day privileges if they bring their grade back up.
        1. Check SchoolMax - if your avg is 70% or above, you're probably eligible.
    2. Arts Team Incentive:
      1. Will be rescheduled (again).
      2. I will not award ClassDojo points for any day where I find candy wrappers or trash on the floor after students leave.
        1. On Wednesday, 2-14, this included chairs not put away, tissues and masks on tables, and a chewed up straw.
        2. This was not the actions of one person ruining things for everyone, this required multiple students deciding to not behave like they are in a magnet program.
      3. I am comfortable with none of my majors participating in the school-wide incentive day if this is how you decide to take care of our classroom.
  4. Q3 Project 2 (Resubmits due 3/10)
    1. Student Choice, Due 02-16
      1. 02-08: Pre-Production
      2. 02-12: Production
      3. 02-14: Post-Production
      4. 02-16: "Put Out Fires" Day
      5. 02-21: Critique Day
  5. Q3 Project 3
    1. Student Choice, Due 03-01
  6. Q3 Project 4
    1. Student Choice, Due 03-15
  7. Q4 Project deadlines:
    1. Q4P1: 04-19
    2. Q4P2: 05-03
    3. Q4P3: 05-17
    4. Q4P4: 05-31
  8. Projects are 100 point Classwork grades, and are not eligible for late submission.
  9. Feedback from the critiques is provided in the Canvas assignment for that project.
  10. Projects are eligible for re-submission, but only once. They must be resubmitted using the same form as before, and no later than 10 days after feedback has been shared with them in Canvas.
  11. Deadlines for future projects are not adjusted. Students are encouraged to not put off starting Project 4 because they've decided to work on redoing Project 3 from scratch.

  2. Exit Tickets are always 10 point Classwork grades and not eligible for late submission or re-submission. They are due during the last 10 minutes of class.
