  1. Warm-Up: 
    1. 2024-01-10 Warm-Up: Digital Media Interests
      1. If we did no more video production for the rest of the year, what form of digital media would you want to explore? Explain your answer.
    2. Warm-Ups are usually a 5 point Independent Work grade if a written response is expected, or a 5 point Assessment grade if the Warm-Up is a quiz. They are due at the start of class and not eligible for late submission or resubmission.
  2. Scheduling
    1. Take a moment to check your schedule in SchoolMax to see your 3rd Quarter elective. A small number of students were given the same class twice. (Example: Given the Drama elective for Q1 and again for Q3.) Make sure this didn't happen to you.
  3. Monthly Incentives
    1. Monthly Media Arts Incentive:
      1. "Arcade Day" at the end of the month.
        1. January's Arcade Day is scheduled for 01/23/2024.
      2. Students remain eligible unless a Notice of Concern has been earned that month for grades or behavior, though a student who missed out from low grades can earn back their Arcade Day privileges if they bring their grade back up.
        1. Check SchoolMax - if your avg is 70% or above, you're probably eligible.
    2. Arts Department Incentive:
      1. Scheduled for 1-19-2024 (the last day of Q2).
      2. Semester based this year.
      3. 1st Semester: Earn a total of 25 ClassDojo points in your Creative Arts Mods.
      4. Students can still uninvite themselves with behavior unbecoming of a Media Arts major.
  4. Q2 Project 3
    1. Resubmits Due 01-14
  5. Q2 Project 4
    1. Due 01-12
      1. 1-08: Pre-Production
      2. 1-10: Production
      3. 1-12: Post-Production
      4. 1-17: Critique Day!
  6. Projects are 100 point Classwork grades, and are not eligible for late submission.
  7. Feedback from the critiques is provided in the Canvas assignment for that project.
  8. Projects are eligible for resubmission, but only once. They must be resubmitted using the same form as before, and no later than 10 days after feedback has been shared with them in Canvas.
  9. Deadlines for future projects are not adjusted. Students are encouraged to not put off starting Project 4 because they've decided to work on redoing Project 3 from scratch.

  2. Exit Tickets are always 10 point Classwork grades and not eligible for late submission or resubmission. They are due during the last 10 minutes of class.
