Today's to-do list includes the following items:

  1. Warm-Up: 
    1. Define the following roles as they relate to Video Production:
      1. Camera Operator
      2. Director
      3. Producer
        • (Executive Producer)
      4. Editor
    2. Warm-Ups are usually a 5 point Independent Work grade if a written response is expected, or a 5 point Assessment grade if the Warm-Up is a quiz. They are due at the start of class and not eligible for late submission or resubmission.
  2. Monthly Incentives
    1. Monthly Media Arts Incentive:
      1. "Arcade Day" at the end of the month.
        1. January's Arcade Day is scheduled for 01/18/2024.
      2. Students remain eligible unless a Notice of Concern has been earned that month for grades or behavior, though a student who missed out from low grades can earn back their Arcade Day privileges if they bring their grade back up.
        1. Check SchoolMax - if your avg is 70% or above, you're probably eligible.
  3. Q2 Project 3
    1. Student Choice Project
    2. Due 12-22 01-09
      1. 12-13: Pre-Production Due
      2. 12-15:  (Foulois Friday, CA time will not be spent in class.)
      3. 12-19:  (All Major Day)
      4. 12-21: Arcade Day & Extra Work Day
      5. 01-03: Production Due
      6. 01-05: Post-Production Due (Hand in Project 3 today!)
      7. 01-09: "Put Out Fires" Day (Last day to hand in Project 3!)
      8. 01-11: Critique Day
    3. Projects are 100 point Classwork grades, and are not eligible for late submission.
      1. Projects are eligible for resubmission, but only once and with a limited window. These details are covered in the syllabus.
    4. Critiques are a 30 point Assessment grade and are not eligible for resubmission or late submission.
  4. Q2 Project 4
    1. Due to the extension of the Project 3 deadline, there will be NO Project 4 this Quarter. Make your remaining project(s) count!
  5. Exit Ticket
    1. 2024-01-05 Exit Ticket
      1. 4 pts Proofread your work.
        3 pts What did you accomplish in Media Arts (Tech Concepts) today?
        3 pts What did you learn in Media Arts (Tech Concepts) today?
      2. NOTE: If you do not describe WHAT you did while working on your project, saying you worked on it is not enough information to earn credit.
    2. Exit Tickets are always 10 point Classwork grades and not eligible for late submission or resubmission. They are due during the last 10 minutes of class.
