5th Grade, Green’s HR, 12-18-2023 – Video 4

THIS VIDEO EXPLAINS THE EXPECTATIONS FOR THE DAY!

Today's Agenda:

  1. Announcements
    1. The following lessons are past due:
      1. Audio 1, Audio 2, Audio 3, Audio 4, & Audio 5.
      2. Video 1, Video 2, Video 3.
    2. If you are unhappy with your grades, fix and resubmit your work ASAP!
  2. Today's Lesson
    1. Video 4: Animation Edit (Part 1 of 2)
      1. Today, we are going to continue using WeVideo.
        1. You will need the following things:
          1. Your storyboard from Video 2
          2. Your recording from Video 3
          3. The Character Art
          4. The Background Art
        1. Listen to your recording!
          1. Make sure when Lesson 3 wrapped up, your recording was set up in a way where you would be happy with it.
        2. Download your two (2) chosen animals and one (1) chosen background.
          1. (You may still have them in your Downloads folder from when you were working on your storyboard.)
          2. Import these three (3) images into WeVideo. Along with your recording from Video Lesson 3, this is all you will need today.
        3. Follow Mr. Smith's directions for moving the characters into position, then cutting and/or copying the image clip to create the illusion of movement.
          1. Ideally the cuts should happen AT LEAST after each sentence, but in Mr. Smith's example they were moved slightly more often to set a particular tone.
        4. Move the clips so they're in the right order!
        5. Delete any fragments or flubs that don't belong in your finished video!
        6. Use the text box in Canvas and share something you noticed when using WeVideo today.
        7. DO NOT HAND IN A VIDEO! ONLY A SENTENCE! (You'll be handing in your video next class.)
    2. You will only have two attempts to hand this in. If your first attempt does not earn a 5/5 you will receive feedback on how to improve it.
      1. No attempts will be accepted after 01-05-2024 (2 weeks before the end of 2nd Quarter) so that there is time to grade all work before the Report Card window closes.
