Today's Agenda:
THIS VIDEO EXPLAINS TODAY'S EXPECTATIONS!
- Announcements
- Audio Lesson 1 is now PAST DUE. You can still hand it in, but we only meet for 14 days this Quarter (It would have been 15, but the Pep Rally took one) and do not have the time to pause instruction.
- Today's Lesson
- Begin by completing Audio 1: Haiku.
- When you've shown Mr. Smith your completed script, he'll hand you a microphone to complete Audio 2: Record & Edit Haiku.
.
- Audio 2: Record & Edit Haiku
- Grading Rubric:
4 Points Recording is free of misspoken words and "verbal filler" like "um," "uh," and so on. 6 Points Story is 3 sentences each, with 1 sentence for the beginning, 1 for the middle, and 1 for the end. Last class, you were given the task of writing a 3 sentence story and, if you wanted to go the extra mile, turning it into a Haiku.
Today, we're going to record it.
- Be mindful of your classmates.
- There are many of you in this room who will be recording at the same time.
- Have your script ready to go before you record!
- Read through it a few times first to make sure you've practiced it.
- Use the link provided in Canvas to set up your WeVideo account!
- Unlike previous years, no code is needed. Using this link and logging in with your PGCPS Gmail account is all that's needed to set up your Pro subscription for this year.
- Once logged in, you will be in our "Intermediate" WeVideo class section.
- Use these video tutorials to record and edit your work:
- WeVideo - Recording (2:39)
- WeVideo - Cuts (1:56)
- WeVideo - Export (5:45)
REMEMBER THAT YOU ARE EXPORTING AUDIO ONLY! This will not be a video project.
- With your audio exported, click the "Reply" button in Canvas and use the Record/Upload Media button in the toolbar to upload your file and hand it in.
- Be mindful of your classmates.
