Media Arts Majors, 05-26-2023

Today's to-do list includes the following items:

1. Warm-Up: 
   1. Grade 6 (P4A) (No Warm-Ups due to shortened class time.)
   2. Grades 7&8 (P3A) (No Warm-Ups due to shortened class time.)
2. Monthly Incentives
   1. Arts Department Incentive:
      1. Art Bucks are handed out to acknowledge good choices.
         1. Earn 25 Art Bucks by May 23rd.
         2. Incentive Day is May 30th.
      2. Q4 Art Bucks will be awarded digitally to mitigate students forgetting to bring them in.
   2. Monthly Media Arts Incentive:
      1. 30 minute "Arcade Day" at the end of the month.
         1. May's Arcade Day is scheduled for 05/26/2023.
         2. June's Arcade Day is scheduled for 06/08/2023.
      2. Remain eligible unless a Notice of Concern has been earned.
         1. Check SchoolMax - if your avg is 70% or above, you're probably eligible.
3. Dance Production
   1. Dates:
      1. Modified schedule from 5/22 - 5/26.
      2. Tech Rehearsal on Mon/Tues.
      3. Wednesday: K-5 Show
      4. Thurs: 6-8 Show, evening Show 7pm - 9pm, arrive by 6:30.
      5. Fri: Guests Show
   2. Volunteers Needed:
      1. Side Projectors (1 person) (MM)
      2. Cameras (Up to 3 people) (IB, MC, JV)
      3. Wear all black to each show.
      4. THIS IS A FULL SHOW COMMITMENT! You will be expected to be alert, not off to the side on your phone!
4. Q4 Project 3
   1. Resubmissions are due Friday, June 2nd!

   3. Suggested TImeline:
      1. 5/22: (Project 3 Critique Day) Begin pre-production when done with critiques.
      2. 5/24: Complete pre-production by today. (MS Finals Day!)
      3. 5/26: Complete production by today. (Arcade Day!) (MS Finals Day!)
      4. 5/31: Complete post-production by today. (MS Admin Incentive Day!)
      5. 6/02: Export and submit finished project and documentation. (MS Science FInal Due!)
      6. 6/06: Critique Day! (8th Gr Class Trip!)
   4. Can only be the "Build Your Own Rubric" project if your rubric is approved BEFORE Critique Day of the previous project.
6. Remaining A Days:
   1. 6/08: 8th Gr Promotion Ceremony (Arcade Day!)
   2. 6/12: Early Dismissal (Light Painting)
7. Exit Ticket
   1. Grade 6 (P4A) (No Exit Tickets due to shortened class time.)
   2. Grades 7&8 (P3A) (No Exit Tickets due to shortened class time.)
