    3. (Today's Warm-Up is a quiz concerning the vocabulary from Friday. You will have 3 attempts to earn a 5/5, but you MUST review your answers after each attempt to make sure you do not enter the same incorrect answer more than once.)
  2. Monthly Incentives
    1. Arts Department Incentive:
      1. Art Bucks are handed out to acknowledge good choices.
    2. Monthly Media Arts Incentive:
      1. 30 minute "Arcade Day" at the end of the month.
        1. February's Arcade Day is scheduled for 02/28/2023.
      2. Remain eligible unless a Notice of Concern has been earned.
        1. Check SchoolMax - if your avg is 70% or above, you're probably eligible.
  3. Q3 Project 1
    1. CRITIQUE DAY!
      1. Use this form to critique all submitted projects.
      2.  Scoring:
        1. One (1) meaningful, SPECIFIC, positive feedback: 1 point per critique.
        2. One (1) meaningful, SPECIFIC, constructive feedback: 1 point per critique.
        3. Critique includes enough information to make it obvious the student has actually viewed the work being critiqued.
    2. Frequently Asked Questions:
      1. Do I need to critique all of them?
        1. Yes.
      2. Do I need to critique my own project?
        1. Yes.
      3. If I can't see the project, should I critique it?
        1. Only if there's nothing there at all. If there's a link, critique it. If the link doesn't work, ask me for help.
      4. What if I don't have anything nice to say?
        1. Then you won't earn credit.
      5. What if I like everything?
        1. Then it shouldn't be hard for you to pick one of the things you like and write a sentence about it.
      6. What if I don't have any suggestions about how to make the project better?
        1. Then you're saying this is the best media you've ever seen in your life. Better than Black Panther, better than Gumball, better than Owl House, and better than that TikTok channel you really, really like. I have my doubts, and you aren't earning a point.
      7. I made a mistake in my critique, how do I fix it?
        1. Submit it again for the same project. When I see duplicates I will only look at the most recent one.
      8. Are these due today?
        1. Yes.
      9. I'm done.
        1. That isn't a question, but congratulations. Get started on selecting and working on Project 2.
  4. Q3 Project 2
    1. Due Friday, February 17th!
      1. Grade 6 (P4B)
      2. Grades 7&8 (P3B)
    2. Can be any project from this list that has a "TC" icon (Technology Concepts Icon) behind its name.
    3. While you may pick a second project from the "Core" track, you are encouraged to select whatever eligible project looks the most fun for you to complete regardless of its track.
  5. Other News

    2. Please share any typos/errors with Mr. Smith so he can properly fix them.
  6. Exit Ticket
    1. Grade 6 (P4B) (No Exit Ticket on Critique Days!)
    2. Grades 7&8 (P3B) (No Exit Ticket on Critique Days!)
    3. Please do not write generic answers like "Today I worked on my project and I learned some new vocabulary." If you can't convince me you learned and did something new, you won't earn the points.
