NO LATE WORK WILL BE ACCEPTED AFTER JANUARY 10th! (Except for excused absences recorded by Ms. Holmes.)

Today's to-do list includes the following items:

  1. 2023-01-19 Warm-Up: Ask Mr. Smith
    1. Grade 6 (P4A)
    2. Grades 7&8 (P3A)
  2. Monthly Incentives
    1. Arts Department Incentive:
      1. Art Bucks are handed out to acknowledge good choices.
      2. 20 Art Bucks earned can be spent to gain entry into a party on January 24th (Last day of Q2).
      3. Hand in your Art Bucks for counting TODAY! Even if you haven't earned 20, you may still be able to participate if you hand in a lot of them.
    2. Monthly Media Arts Incentive:
      1. 30 minute "Arcade Day" at the end of the month.
        1. January's Arcade Day is scheduled for 01/23/2023.
      2. Remain eligible unless a Notice of Concern has been earned.
  3. Q3 Project 1
    1. Due Friday, February 3rd!
    2. Can be any non-core project you have not already completed.
      1. The Copyright and Creative Commons project is the required Core assignment for 3rd Quarter.
      2. Can only be the "Build Your Own Rubric" project if your rubric is approved BEFORE January 24th.
      3. If you write in your exit ticket that you were working on your rubric, but you never actually show me your draft IN CLASS today, I will assume you were not telling the truth.
    3. IF YOUR PROJECT ISN'T ON THE LIST, YOU ARE WORKING TOWARDS A ZERO!
  4. Other News
    1. Class material consolidation is ongoing.
      1. Eventually all lessons and announcements will be shared on FouloisTech.info so parents will not need logins to see expectations and deadlines. 
      2. Announcements are now being written here and cross-posted to Canvas, assuming this works.
      3. Student work will still require a login to be seen, either because it's in Google Drive or on Canvas.
      4. When an assignment is posted to FouloisTech.info, it will include links to where to hand it in for BOTH Canvas classes. Be sure to click the correct link or you won't have access.
  5. Exit Ticket
    1. Grade 6 (P4A)
    2. Grades 7&8 (P3A)
    3. Please do not write generic answers like "Today I worked on my project and I learned some new vocabulary." If you can't convince me you learned and did something new, you won't earn the points.
