Learning Opportunities
- Project 3
- Grades are in Google Classroom
- Grades will be in SchoolMax soon.
- Project 4
- Do not assume your rubric was approved.
- (Check comments from the 03-04 Homework in Google Classroom to see if yours was one of them.)
- If your rubric was not one of the ones that was approved, you will be creating a "Drabble" audio recording.
- Rubric:
- ► MP3 recording must be an original work of fiction. (No real names, people, or events.)
- ► MP3 recording must be free of "verbal filler" (um, uh, so, like, etc. used between the actual content) and relatively free of background noise.
- ► Written story must be EXACTLY 100 words in length and match the recording.
- ► Written story must have acceptable spelling, grammar, and punctuation.
- The best program we have for audio recording and editing is Audacity.
- (Tutorial here)
- I recommend using a USB mic. We have several in here, but ASK first.
- Audacity only checks for a mic when it is first opened. Make sure your mic is plugged into the computer BEFORE you open Audacity!
- This is another program where "save" and "export" mean very different things. Please be mindful of this.
- Do not assume your rubric was approved.
- Exit Ticket (Auto-posted to Google Classroom at 3:40pm.)
- 5th grade assessments were this morning. What advice would you give to the 5th graders who have decided they want to be in your major?
