  • Students will refine and complete artistic work. (Anchor Standard 3) to show understanding of the methods and techniques incorporated in the media of logo creation.

    1. What are the parts of the system?
    2. Who are the people connected to the system?
    3. How do the people in the system interact with each other and with the parts of the system?
    4. How does a change in one element of the system affect the various parts and people connected to the system?
  2. Independent Work
    1. Homework/Journal checks
      1. 4-12: Enjoy your Spring Break!
      2. 4-24: Create your rubric proposal for Project 3.
      3. 4-26: Imagine you've been asked to take baby and current photos of 8th graders and turn them into a video slideshow. Storyboard 3 different formats for how to arrange the "then" & "now" photos on the screen, along with the students' names.
    2. Q4 Project 2: Critiques!

      1. You know the drill at this point.
      2. Reminder that filler does not earn credit.
    3. Q4 Project 3: DUE MAY 10th!
      1. The work you need to do today will depend on the rubric you have created, but you NEED to be doing something constructive EVERY DAY
      2. If you've finished Project 2 you should be working on Project 3.
  3. HOMEWORK
    1. Choose three (3) roles (NOT specific people) that exist in the Media Arts system. For each role, define  the following three (3) things.
      1. Think: How does this person understand this system and their
        role within it?
      2. Feel: What is this person’s emotional response to the system
        and to their position within it?
      3. Care: What are this person’s values, priorities, or motivations
        with regard to the system? What is important to this person?
