  1. Independent Work
    1. Critique Day!
      1. 7 projects were submitted.
      2. Read each rubric CAREFULLY. Each one is unique, and you are expected to assess the project based on its requirements as listed.
      3. Concerns, wonderings, and praise not addressed in the rubrics can be included in the positive & constructive criticism sections.
    2. Homework/Journal checks
      1. 3-29: List 5 OBJECTIVE rubric requirements that, if followed, should improve project quality. These do not all need to apply to the same project.
      2. 4-2: Create a 4-5 line item rubric for your next project, making sure to avoid SUBJECTIVE requirements.
      3. 4-4: Every year, 8th grade students have parting remarks recorded for the promotion ceremony, usually in front of a plain brick wall. Storyboard 3 distinctly different set designs that would be more interesting alternatives.
    3. Q4 Project 2: DUE APRIL 26th!

      1. All submitted rubrics have been approved.
      2. The 3 week time frame is due to Spring Break. This due date WILL sneak up on you if you do not work on this project every day.
      3. The work you need to do today will depend on the rubric you have created, but you NEED to be doing something constructive EVERY DAY.
      4. Reminder that due to hallway behavior last week this class has lost hallway recording privileges. This ruling will be reevaluated if behavior improves.
  2. HOMEWORK
    1. 4-8: Podcasting is a media that anyone can produce with a minimum of equipment and resources. While general interest podcasts exist, the majority of successful shows focus on a single topic. (Example: A video game themed podcast might have all of their episodes only focus on a single video game franchise.)
      1. Brainstorm 3 topics that you would find interesting enough to make into a series of podcast episodes.
      2. For each topic, list three sub-topics that would be addressed either in every episode (as segments) or have an entire episode dedicated to them.
      3. Example: Topic: Media Arts
        1. Sub-topic 1: Chroma Key
        2. Sub-topic 2: Inexpensive alternatives to expensive software/hardware
        3. Subtopic 3: Copyright Law (How to Not Get Sued)
