Agenda:

  1. ELO
    1. Canceled until after PARCC testing. (Next ELO is next week.)
  2. Series Video 13
    1. Due Friday.
  3. Storyboards
    1. Mixed Shots Storyboards all have comments &/or grades.
    2. If you earned a 100, GREAT! That will be going into SchoolMax this weekend.
    3. If you didn't, you need to make the necessary fixes TODAY. Otherwise, you get 25 points per "+" in my comments.
  4. Video Project
    1. Pick a storyboard for 4th Quarter that has earned an A.
      1. Media Arts Tutorial Storyboard
      2. 30 Second Commercial Storyboard
      3. Storyboard Storyboard
      4. Mixed Shots Storyboard
    2. Turn your storyboard into a movie. The rubric is the same as the one you used for THAT storyboard.
    3. Don't have a storyboard that qualifies? Your assignment is ... another storyboard.
      1. Network News Storyboard
        1. 50% SEGMENTS ► News contains an opening, closing, anchors reading AT LEAST 2 stories, weather, sports, and B-roll during stories & sports.
        2. 25% VIDEO ►Intro and outro include long shots, anchors reading stories include a two shot as well as solo medium shots from different angles. Weather is a medium long shot, sports is a medium shot. B-roll shots should vary but make sense. (An extreme closeup on a player's eyes when talking about a basketball game wouldn't make sense, as they don't normally stay still long enough for such a shot.)
        3. 25% AUDIO ►News jingles selected from the YouTube Audio Library. All dialogue can be made up, but MUST be written out.
    4. For those who will say "I can't work on my video here...."
      1. Are you in 8th grade? If so, do you have a project that Ms. Hogue has asked you to do?
      2. Also (regardless of your grade...)
        1. Find a YouTube video tutorial showing how to do something cool in Inkscape that's new and interesting to you. (DO NOT USE A TUTORIAL I'VE MADE! FIND SOMETHING NEW!)
        2. Follow the tutorial to make your own version of that cool thing.
        3. After you've followed the tutorial, write up a review of the tutorial focusing on what you liked and didn't like regarding the video's clarity of instruction, pacing, audio, and video quality. it is not expected to be long winded.
        4. I will want to see 3 things:
          1. A link to the tutorial you used.
          2. Your cool Inkscape creation, exported as a png file.
          3. Your short review of the tutorial.
